Kirchoff's Law

Kirchoff's Laws refer to a number of observations made by a German scientist named Gustav Kirchoff.
Wikipedia has got a detailed article on these laws but it is really rather complicated. In plain English, the laws could be described as:
- The current flowing into a node equals the current flowing out
- The sum of voltages around a loop will be zero
